Nantes and its region
NANTES, the City of the Dukes, Venice of the West.
A very dynamic metropolis of more than 300,000 inhabitants, which keeps all its promises on the cultural level with 800 annual events known and recognised internationally such as "Royal de Luxe" which travels the continents with its giants, the Machines de l'île, the Château des Ducs de Bretagne and the LU Tower, symbol of the famous LU butter. The "Folles Journées" musical event is a must, as is the "Rendez-vous de l'Erdre" festival.
A city centre that is constantly renewed, which attracts big names, Maserati, Hermès and recently the Radisson Blu hotel in place of the old prison. The old Haussmannian districts, the Passage Pommeraye and the Ile de Nantes, which will be home to one of the largest university hospitals in the West in 2025, are also extremely charming. Nantes is one of the top 5 most touristic cities in France, thanks to its Nantes Atlantique airport and its TGV station, 2h30 from Paris.
Nantes is resolutely forward-looking, with EuroNantes, a new business centre, and has been labelled "Europe's Green Capital" since 2013.
A student city par excellence with more than 7 university campuses, including one of the best Médiacampus in Europe with more than 50,000 students per year.
