La Baule's Bay
La Baule, a very chic seaside resort, famous for its 9km long bay of fine sand, is part of the very closed circle of the most beautiful bays in the world. La Baule's beautiful districts are known as "des Oiseaux", "des Arbres", "Lajarrige" and the very popular "Benoit" district. Adrien GRAVE, Georges LAFONT, Paul-Henri DATESSEN, renowned architects of the 1930s, have created a real architectural heritage.
La Baule, a region where the art of good living is cultivated. Here you will find the Barrière de la Baule International Golf Course, prestigious hotel palaces such as the Barrière Hermitage Hotel and the Royal, casinos, renowned thalassotherapy centres and chic and elegant boutiques.
Every year La Baule hosts the Jumping International, the "Film and Film Music" festival, the International Dragon Derby, the Concours d'Elegance, the Audencia Triathlon, TedX and many other international events. The Bay stretches from Pouliguen to Pornichet. The Pouliguen is a renowned family seaside resort, a place to relax and share. Its marina has inspired many novelists such as the writer Jules Sandeau. Pornichet, a dynamic, family (OK KID label), festive and sporting town has the largest marina in the region.
